Scott is the owner and operator of Logan Funeral Home, proudly continuing the family legacy as the third-generation owner, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He is deeply committed to serving the Gilmer County community, a role he has embraced for many years.
A graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1966, Scott went on to earn a degree in Industrial Management, with minors in Statistics and Labor Economics, from the University of Tennessee, Class of 1970. He furthered his education by graduating from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1972.
Scott is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of care and service. He is an active member of several local organizations, including the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, Oak Bowery Lodge #81 F&AM of Ellijay, the Ellijay Lion's Club, the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce, and the Gilmer Arts and Heritage Association.
He has one daughter and one grandchild, who are the light of his life. Above all, Scott is always available to assist with any needs, bringing his experience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his work in the community.

Maci J. Kiker
Manager, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
Maci Kiker is a dedicated member of the Logan Funeral Home team, serving our community with compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to the funeral service industry. A native of Ellijay, GA, Maci has been with Logan Funeral Home since 2017, where her passion for helping families through some of life’s most difficult moments is evident in her work.
Maci graduated from Gilmer High School in 2017 before pursuing a degree in Funeral Service Education/Mortuary Science at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama, which she completed in 2019. She is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, a Certified Crematory Operator, and holds licensure in both Georgia and North Carolina. Maci serves as Funeral Director in Full and Continuous Charge (FDFCC) of Logan Funeral Home, which means she oversees day-to-day operations to ensure the funeral home is run efficiently and in accordance to state and federal law. Furthermore, she also serves as a member of the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce.
In January 2024, Maci was appointed and sworn in as Deputy Coroner for Gilmer County, a position she views as a true honor to serve her hometown community.
Maci’s dedication to her profession goes beyond her technical qualifications; she is deeply committed to providing families with the utmost respect and care. She approaches every family she works with as her own, ensuring that each detail of their loved one's final arrangements is handled with the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail. At the funeral home, Kohan plays an important role in assisting with funeral and memorial services, handling office affairs, and helping coordinate the company's social media presence. In addition, he is currently serving an apprenticeship under Maci Kiker, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in the field.
Kohan is also committed to his education, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems with an emphasis on Cloud Computing at the University of Georgia. His dedication to his academic pursuits is evident as he works hard to prepare for his future career.

Currently serving as a licensed apprentice under the mentorship of Maci Kiker, Jeremiah has big aspirations for the future. He plans to attend Jefferson State Community College to pursue his dream of becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer.

Pam has a deep love for her family and enjoys spending quality time with them, including their beloved dogs. She is passionate about her faith, loves the Lord, and finds great joy in loving and caring for others. Holidays, especially Christmas, hold a special place in her heart, and she has a true appreciation for music.
