About Us
For nearly a century, Logan Funeral Home & Chapel has remained a trusted name in Gilmer County. As a third-generation, family-owned and operated funeral home, we are proud to provide caring, dignified, and personal service to every family we serve. Founded in 1928 by Benjamin Cicero “B.C.” Logan, Sr., our original location stood on Main Street until the early 1950s. His dedication to serving the community laid the foundation for a legacy of compassion and professionalism.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Ernest H. Logan pursued his passion for funeral service, earning his degree from John A. Gupton College of Funeral Service in Nashville, TN and becoming a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He dedicated many years to operating the family business with integrity and care.
After Ernest’s passing in 1988, his son, Scott Logan, stepped into the role of Owner, Operator, and Funeral Director. Under his leadership, the Logan family’s commitment to service continues to thrive.
Today, Scott is joined by a dedicated team of Licensed Funeral Directors-Maci Kiker, Jerry Hensley, and Michael Smith-who help carry on the tradition of excellence that defines Logan Funeral Home. Since our founding, our guiding principle has remained the same: to treat every family we serve as if they were our own. With sincerity, pride, and dedication, we are honored to uphold this time-honored tradition of compassionate service.
