Everett Southern, age 85, of Ellijay, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025. He was born on July 25, 1939, to his late parents William Edward and Ella Jane Weaver Southern. He was a member of the River Hill Baptist Church, and was the owner of Southern Home Builders. He also proudly served in the United States Army. Everett is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws Ellen and Edd Gaddis, Edwin and Barbara Jean Southern, and Betty Ann Dale Southern.

Survivors include wife Mrs. Glenda Charlene Parks Southern of the home in Ellijay, son Justin Southern, brothers and sisters-in-law Ermel Southern of Ellijay, Euel and Judy Southern of Ellijay, and Ruel and Alice Southern of Ellijay.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 2 P.M. from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Alan Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in the Nine Mile Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Terry Southern, Jody Crump, Mark Autry, Hubert Parker, and Eric Carney. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 12 P.M. until the service hour.
