William Lester Maynard, age 76 of Ringold, GA passed on Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born June 25,1945 in Cochran, GA to his late parents Thomas Grady and Alice Wilder Barlow Maynard. William was a member of Beaverdale Baptist Church. William retired from Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA. William is preceded in death by sister Elizabeth Maynard brothers Frank Maynard, Billy Maynard. Survivors include wife of 55 years Mildred Payne Maynard, Ringold, GA, daughter Jean Elizabeth and Bill Hayes, Dalton, GA, sister Carolyn and Jim Landreau, Macon, GA, brother Lafayette Maynard, Diamondhead, MS, Harold and Jane Maynard, Macon, GA, Fred and Sandra Maynard, Martinez, GA, and several nieces and nephews survive. Visitation will be Sunday, August 8,2021 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Sunday, August 8,2021 at 2:00pm at Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Tatum and Rev. Don Tatum. Terry Payne, Jamie Payne, Jerry Payne, Edward Payne, Steve Payne, Stefan Payne, Steven Payne, Sawyer Wishon serving as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in McCaysville, GA. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to Gideons International.
