William Jackson "Jack" Thurman, age 87 passed on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Jack was born June 22, 1935, in Cherrylog, GA to his late parents William Clyde and Eve (Whitaker) Thurman. Jack was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ. Jack worked for the Gilmer County Road Department until he retired. Preceded in death wife Ida Bell (Ash) Thurman, son David Thurman, brother Gene Thurman, and great-grandchild Dakota Pritchett.

Survivors include daughter Sandra and Troy Pritchett, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren David(Ann), Michael(crystal), Terry Pritchett (Mollie) & D.J. Thurman Kendall Joy Padgett, great-grandchildren Bryan, Caleb, Blake, Shelby, Coleman Pritchett, Tristian, Kayleigh Kendell, Ty, Garrett Cole & Asher Padgett, sister-in-law Patsy Teague Thurman, Ellijay, GA.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Butch Jones officiating. DJ. Kendall, Terry Pritchett, Michael Pritchett,  Caleb Pritchett, Garrett Cole, and David Pritchett serving as pallbearers.  The interment will be at Macedonia Church of Christ.
