William Sanford George, age 70 of Ellijay, passed on Thursday September 17, 2020. William was born on April 7, 1950 to his late parents Sanford George, Jr and Nellie (Payton) George in Atlanta, GA. William was a member of the Cartecay Baptist Church and enjoyed wood working. William was a truck driver for Rosedale Transport. William is survived by his wife of 10 years, Rebecca George of Ellijay, daughters & sons-in-law, Gracie and Tracy Ballew, of Ellijay, Rebecca and Mike Childers, of Ellijay, sons & daughter-in-law, CJ and Holly Whitehead, of Ellijay, Jerome George, of Ellijay, Eleven grandchildren, Sisters, Linda George, of Douglasville, brother and sister-in-law Jimmy & Sandee of Douglasville.
