William Stanley Blomeley, Jr., age 94 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Saturday, April 23, 2016. He was born July 4, 1921 to his late parents William Stanley Blomeley, Sr. and Cordilia Urslene Elzy Blomeley in Brighton, Alabama. He was of the Methodist Faith and was a graduate of Miami Technical High School. Mr. Blomeley served in the United States Army Air Corp during the Korean War and retired as a Captain with National and Pan American Airlines. Survivors include daughter, Sherry Lynn Blomeley of Marietta, GA.; daughter and son-in-law Susan Bernice Croyle (Douglas) of Mountain Home, ID; sons and daughters-in-law Stanley Blomeley III (Charity) of Gainesville, FL,Lewis and Linda Blomeley of Marianna, FL, "Bill" William R. Blomeley (Terry) of Ellijay, GA, David C. Blomeley (Susie) of Ellijay, GA; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law James L. Blomeley (Beverly) of Murietta, CA. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27th, 2016 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with David Blomeley and Rev Irene Wofford officiating. Military graveside service will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with Military Rites by the North GA Honor Guard. Interment will be in the Cartecay United Methodist Church Cemetery.
