Whitney Elizabeth Burnette, age 33, of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Whitney was born on December 14, 1991 in Dalton, Georgia, to her parents Tommy and Linda (Anderson) Burnette. She attended New Vision Pentecostal Church.
Whitney graduated from the University of North Georgia with an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has devoted her whole life to caring for others. She found a special place working in her last job for Piedmont Hospice, Incorporated.
Whitney's love for her family and close friends was unwavering and immeasurable. Her best days were spent on the farm baling hay with her daddy or working on one of their current projects. She was a true friend to all of the creatures and loved caring for her dogs and miniature goats. She shared her mother's love of horses, even breaking and training several in years past, as well as giving riding lessons. Known as a talented vocalist, she enjoyed singing in church and also writing songs. She was an aspiring poet and had multiple poems published nationally. She was the apple of her daddy's eye and her mother's best friend.
She is survived by her parents, Tommy and Linda Burnette, Talking Rock, Georgia, her brother Ty and his wife Jennie Burnette, Talking Rock, Georgia, niece Presley Ayers, nephews Oliver Burnette and Memphis Ayers, aunts and uncles Hal Anderson, Carol and Junior Teague, Sandy and Travis Coleman, and several cousins survive.
A private service will be held at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a private internment following the service. Whitney will be buried on their family farm.
The family is accepting flowers. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.loganfuneralhome.com. Logan Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
