Jack "Wayne" Sales, age 80 of Ellijay, GA passed on Thursday, December 10, 2020. He was born January 5, 1940 in Ellijay, GA to his late parents Carl Brant and Oma (Hill) Sales. Wayne was a member of the Nine Mile United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and riding his tractors. Wayne is preceded in death by his sister Marjorie Chance, brother Billy Sales, father-in-law Ray Hyde, sister-in-law Margie (Defoor) Sales. Survivors include wife of 53 years, Sandra Sales of Ellijay, GA, daughter and son in law Brenda and Dr. Terry Wimpey, Athens, GA, son and daughter in law Scott and Melisa Sales, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren Hunter Wimpey, Mati Teague, sisters Enda Sales Sanford, Ellijay, GA, brother Hill Sales, Ellijay, GA, mother-in-law Buren Sumner Hyde, Ellijay, GA, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol Sales and Rayson Chance and several Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Logan Funeral Home & Chapel from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 3:00pm at Nine Mile United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Burcham, Rev. Kim Dunn. Pallbearers will be Scott Sales, Terry Wimpey, J.W. Chastain, Edward Chance, Rickey Wimpey, and Mack Logan. Flowers are being accepted or donations can be made to Nine Mile Cemetery Association Fund P.O.
