Mr. Wayne Jones, age 65 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Sunday July 12th, 2026 at Northside Cherokee Hospital.

Mr. Jones was born on March 3rd, 1961 in Ellijay, GA to the late Eugene Clinton and Imogene (Wood) Jones. Wayne was a member of Little Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Ash.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Angie Jones of the home in Ellijay; children, Katie Jones, Hope Jones (Jordan Grizzle), Cheyenne Jones, and Lee M. Oliver all of Ellijay; grandchildren, John Oliver, Luke Oliver, Aspen Grizzle, Harper Grizzle; brothers, Tommy Jones (Debbie), William “Squeak” Jones (Kim). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday July 16th, 2026 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cody Ray, Rev. Josh Jones, Rev. Justin Hensley, and Rev. Cory Rich officiating. Music will be by the Little Baptist Church Choir led by Tyler Nichols.

Interment will follow in the Flint Hill Church Cemetery with Jason Jones, Ethan Jones, Carter Jones, Jacob Jones, Nathan Jones, Lee Oliver, Cole Jones, and Luke Jones all serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday July 15th at the Logan Funeral Home.

Flowers and food will be accepted in memory of Mr. Jones.
