Mr. Wayne Elbert Davis, age 85, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at his residence.
Mr. Davis was born on December 20, 1940, to the late Jason Andrew Davis, Sr. and Edith Irene (Parks) Davis. Wayne was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially watching NASCAR, deer hunting, and spending time in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. He had a great appreciation for the outdoors and the mountain heritage he called home. Above all, Wayne cherished his family and the memories made with those he loved.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Stone, Sr.; and his brother, Tim Davis.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Doris K. Davis of the home in Ellijay; daughters, Tina Davis of Ball Ground, Georgia, Debbie Stone (Lynn) of Talking Rock, Georgia, and Penny Carver (Ed) of Jasper, Georgia; grandchildren, Lindsey Phillips (Tommy), Glen Carver (Brandi), Caitlin Rajkumar (Raj), Mark Mullins, Mason Mullins (Emma), and Tiffani Willingham (Casey); great-grandchildren, Brandon Stone, Jr., Ellie Stone, Presley Phillips, Jacob Carver, Nicholas Carver, Mitchell Phillips (Rachel), Ryker Rajkumar, and Rylen Rajkumar, granddaughter-in-law Jamie Stone; sisters, Wanda Weaver of Ellijay, Georgia, and Lois Nelson (John) of Ellijay, Georgia; and brother, Luther “T.” Davis of Ellijay, Georgia. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive and will cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Alan Davenport officiating. Special music will be provided by the New Hope Baptist Church Choir.
Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Glen Carver, Mark Mullins, Mason Mullins, Tommy Phillips, Casey Willingham, Raj Rajkumar, Jacob Carver, Nicholas Carver, and Brandon Stone, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Logan Funeral Home.
Flowers and food will be graciously accepted by the family in memory of Mr. Davis.
