Mrs. Wanda Evelyn Davenport, age 86 of Ellijay, GA passed on Sunday January 25th, 2026 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice of Marietta.

Mrs. Davenport was born on June 19th, 1939 to the late Luther Alvin and Pansy (Thomas) Edwards. Wanda was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Ellijay and was a retiree from Blue Ridge Mountain Woodcraft. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her sister, Jane Pearman, brother, Luther Edwards, Jr, and grandson, Brandon Hyder.

Survivors include her daughter; Teresa A. Hyder of Ellijay, GA; Stepson, Rev. Alan Davenport (Kendra) of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Jonathan Hyder, Kaylee McClure, Kacey Marick; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Arby Edwards of Peachtree City, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Davenport and Rev. Norman Gibbs officiating.

Interment will follow on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Monte Vista Memorial Park in Johnson City, TN.
