Wanda Sue (Garland) Barnes, age 79 of Ellijay, GA passed on Thursday, February 11, 2021. She was born September 10, 1941 to her late parents, Hobert Roosevelt and Agnus (Helton) Garland in Ellijay, GA. Wanda was a member of the Tails Creek Baptist Church. Wanda enjoyed gardening and loved her cat Deacon very much. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Earl William Barnes. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brondy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Tails Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Wanda is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Scott and Lynne Barnes, Ellijay, Darren and Tiffany Barnes, Ellijay, grandchildren Will Barnes and Abby Barnes, sisters and brother in laws Glenda and James McClure, Ellijay, Debra and Richard Ayers, Dallas, brothers and sister in laws Ronnie and Johnny Sue Garland, Ellijay, Johnny and Joann Garland, Ellijay. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted family request no food be sent to the funeral home.
