Mr. Walter Edward Kucera, 76, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at AccentCare in Cumming, Georgia.

Walter was born on March 16, 1949, in Bay Shore, New York, to the late Walter John and Adel Kucera. A man of service and integrity, he proudly served his country as a United States Army Airborne veteran during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Walter continued his dedication to protecting others as a police officer with the Orange City Police Department, from which he later retired after years of honorable service.

Above all else, Walter was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, a proud father, and a cherished grandfather whose steady presence, strength, and quiet humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife, Evy Kucera; his sons, Keith Kucera (Pamela), Brian Kucera (Leather), and Paul Kucera; and his grandchildren, Katelyn, Jarryd, Jacob, Elizabeth, Colten, Marley, and Carson who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Kolb, and two nieces.

A memorial service to celebrate Walter's life will be planned and announced at a later date.
