Teresa Kay (Norton) Yarns, age 70 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Teresa was born in Brevard, NC, to her beloved late parents Luther and Lucy (Evatt) Norton. Teresa spent several of her childhood years in Covington, IN, which she always remembered fondly. She returned to Brevard, graduating high school there and completing college in Asheville, NC. She worked for 22 years as an elementary school teacher in Transylvania County, NC.

Teresa overcame many challenges in her life, including polio she contracted as a baby, and she was a three-time cancer survivor. A family member remarked that Teresa was "so sweet and tough at the same time." Yet she could not overcome the loss of her treasured husband,

Robert Bernard Yarns, who preceded her in death in 2021; her health declined thereafter.

She is survived by her son, Brandon, brother Douglas Norton and his wife Katy, niece Hannah, and nephew Jacob.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6:00 pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Butch Jones officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.loganfuneralhome.com.
