Mrs. Ruth Inez (Wright) Young, age 90 of Ellijay, GA passed on Sunday January 12th, 2020 at her residence. She was born March 29th, 1929 to her late parents Robert "Bob" Wright and Tama Mae Burk in Ellijay, GA. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Her husband, Noah Harlow Young, daughter, Tina Young Hughes, sons, John Terry Young and Perry Harlow Young preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday January 16th, 2020 from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Young officiating. Music and singing will be by Ms. Regina Mathis. A graveside service will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Young is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis & Bill Shotwell of Villa Rica, GA, June & Andy Anderson of Waleska, GA, Debra & Jerry Clark of Carrollton, GA, Donna Young Roper of Ellijay, GA, son, Gary Young of Rapid City, SD, grandchildren and spouses, Dr. Michael & Debbie Shotwell, Brent & Christina Shotwell, Andy Jr. & Robin Anderson, Jennifer & Brandon Hathaway, Nichole & Chad Land, Shannon & Kristin Young, Erica & Jason Berghammer, Trina Young, Sean Young, Bridgett Ledford, Damon & Angie Hughes and Tyler Bearden, twenty five great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, sister, Lois Newman of Blue Ridge, brother, Winston Raymond Burk of Ducktown, TN.
