Ruth Marie (Hyatt) Caudell, Age 83 of Ellijay, GA, passed on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born on November 5, 1937 to her late parents, Seth Luther and Mattie Lee Quarles Hyatt in Ellijay, GA. Ms. Caudell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay. She graduated from Gilmer High School, Class of 1954, earned her bachelor's degree in 1958 from North Georgia College. She went on to receive her master's degree and Leadership certification from West Georgia College. She was a teacher and administrator for many years with the Gilmer County School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Seth Luther and Mattie Lee Quarles Hyatt, husband, Talmadge "Tam" Caudell, brother, James Harold Hyatt, sister-in-law, Cathy W. Hyatt. A private funeral service will be held at Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sid Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Hyatt Family Cemetery, Ellijay, GA. Ms. Caudell is survived by daughters, Stephanie Lynn Caudell and Kim Turner, Adairsville, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Barry Cagle, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren, Seth Hyatt and (Shea)Wimpey, Mattie Virginia Cagle, Griffin Douglas Cagle,Gena (Jason) Farmer, great- grandchildren, Kenna Stacy Wimpey, Kota Samuel Wimpey, Kaden Seth Wimpey, Cooper Farmer, Weston Farmer, Kensie Farmer, sister, Patricia Hyatt Henson, Ellijay, GA, brother and sister-in-law, John L. and Eurilla Hyatt, Jasper, GA, brother, Douglas "Doug" Hyatt, Ellijay, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Logan Funeral Home.
