Russell Timothy Ballew, age 54 of Ellijay, GA passed on Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was born on August 12, 1967, in Jasper, GA to his parents Billy J. Ballew and Hazel Irene Payne. Russell was employed by Galaxy Carpet Mill. He is preceded in death by his mother Hazel Irene Payne and brother Darrell Ballew. Survivors include Father Billy J. Ballew, Talking Rock, GA, Brothers Tracy and Gracie Ballew, Ellijay, GA, Warren R. Ballew, Ellijay, GA, nephews and nieces, Robert Avilez, Tyler Ballew, Brittani Ballew, Noah Ballew, special friends, Kevin and Samantha Green, Ellijay, GA. The Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11:00 am to 2:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 2:00pm at Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with Rev. Danny Townsend officiating. Internment will follow in the Whitestone Baptist Church Cemetery.
