Mr. Roy Lamar Casey, Age 72 of Ellijay, GA., passed on April 16, 2021. He was born February 19, 1949 to his late parents, Gordon Lamar and Birdie Mae Parks Casey in Ellijay, GA. Roy was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He retired from Gold Kist and Pilgrim's Pride Poultry. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Parks and Rev. David Nicholson officiating. Music provided by Ronald and Linda Hyde. Eddie Casey, Robert Hall, Theodore Hall, Jacob Lambert, Mike Self, Terry Flowers, Jeremy White, Steve Gorges, Larry Fox, Randy Bates, Bobbie Abercrombie, Ricky Bryan, and Elmo Riley Beaver serving as pallbearers. Interment will follow at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Roy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Syble Ann Casey of the home in Ellijay, GA., daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Ann and James W. Johnson, Ellijay, GA., son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Lawson Casey and Amanda Beaver, Ellijay, GA., grandchildren, Julie Ann Doss, Tommy Doss, Landon Earl Patterson, Brooklyn Mikaya Ann Casey, Jackson Alan Gordon Casey, great grandchildren, Samuel Woodrow Doss, Sawyer James Doss, sister, Shirley Casey Arron, Harpers Ferry, VA., brothers, Leon and Brenda Casey, Ellijay, GA., Edward and Ann Casey, Ellijay, GA., several nieces and nephews.
