Rosemarie Slavenas was born on December 12, 1943 in the Czech Republic to her late parents Max Walter Dietz and Mary Lou Ashbrook. Rosemarie holds a PHD in Early childhood development from the University of Illinois. Rosemarie retired as a professor from Northern Illinois University. Rosemarie is preceded in death by her son Brian Donatas Slavenas, sister Marjorie

Kaukl, and brother Eric Dietz.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Marcus Christopher and Carolyn Marie Slavenas, grandchildren Madeline and Josephine Royer, Illithyia Mary Rose, Artemis Jane, and Caius Octavian Victor Slavenas.

Rosemarie Slavenas of Talking Rock, Ga passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 3rd.

She will be laid to rest with her son in Genoa IL.
