Roger Lee Markle, age 89 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Roger was born August 17, 1933, in Lapeer, Michigan to his late parents Edmund - Ferris - and Mildred Martha (Fuller) Markle. Roger served honorably in the US Marine Corps in Korea. Roger retired from General Motors after 30 years. Roger is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Dorothy Elaine (Keeler) Markle and grandson Jack Mead.

Survivors include his daughter Gayle Marie Mead, Wauconda, IL, and sons Garold and Gail Markle, Jasper GA, Dr. - Kenneth - and Lynnette Markle of Baton Rouge, LA, Robert Byron Markle, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren - Shanna - Beavers, Carissa Cassiel, Garrett Markle, Jessica Breaux, Mariah Markle, Lauren Borowski, Matthew Mead, and several great-grandchildren also survive.
