Mr. Robert Julius John Steif, Sr. age 84 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Thursday May 23rd, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Steif was born on August 10th, 1939 in Wisconsin to his late parents, Marie Emma and William Martin Steif. Robert served his country honorably in the United States Army, with foreign service in Korea, Vietnam, and Indonesia. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay, Robert was active in the church community and as a volunteer at Faith, Hope, and Charity. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Marie Deann Steif Harris; brothers Ormin Steif and Howard Steif.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Irene "Micki" Steif of the home in Ellijay; children, Robert Julius John Steif, Jr. (Michele) of Beaufort, SC, Joshua William Bryant (Amanda) of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Alana Joi Harris Wilkins, Anthony James Harris, Stella James Bryant; siblings and in laws, brother, Gerald Orin Steif (Roxanne) of Bonduel, WI, sister, Marlene Felts of Bullhead City, AZ; several beloved nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday June 1st, 2024 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Brantley officiating. Military honors will be held immediately following the service in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with rites being performed by the North GA Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until the service hour of 4:00pm on Saturday June 1st at the Logan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to GA Mountains Hospice or to the Wounded Warriors Project in memory of Mr. Steif.
