Lillie "Pauline" (Ward) Watkins, age 87 of Ellijay, GA passed on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Pauline was born April 16, 1934 in Ellijay, GA to her late parents James Woodrow and Dennie (Land) Ward. Pauline was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and a graduate of Gilmer High School in 1952. Pauline retired from Pilgrims Pride. She is preceded in death by her late husband J. Arnold Watkins. Survivors include daughter Betty Watkins Davenport, Blue Ridge, GA, sons Leon and Janie Watkins, Ellijay, GA, Ronald and Tina Watkins, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren Sharlese Beasley, Brandy Farist, Wendy Davenport Smith, Adam Davenport, Hope Watkins Mata, and Chad Watkins, great grandchildren Brett Teasley, Mackencie Teasley Garcia, Holden James Mata, Jackson Samples, Nola Smith, Asher Smith, Gwynne Davenport, Avery Davenport, Jett Davenport, great great grandchildren Mia Garcia, sisters and brother-in-laws Jewell and James Ensley, Winder, GA, and the late Margie and Charlie Mull, Ellijay, GA. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (Buckhorn) with Rev. Wallace Parks, and Rev. John Newton officiating. Adam Davenport, Chad Watkins, Kevin Farist, Grant Mata, Brett Teasley, Osiel Garcia, Terry Ledford, Gary Watkins, Scott Watkins, and David Watkins serving as pallbearers.
