Mr. Paul Blake Compton, age 82, of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Compton was born on September 4th, 1943, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to the late Milton and Lucille Compton. Mr. Compton worked as an IT consultant for IBM and served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Joan Marie Compton of Ellijay; daughter Michelle Marie Mock of Wilmington, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law Ed and Linda Compton of California City, California, Mike and Paula Compton of Savers, MS, Greg and Kathy Compton of New Martinsville, West Virginia, and Danny and Sue Compton of Pikesville, Kentucky.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, from the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay with Rev. Dr. Mike Shearon officiating. Military rites will be performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service hour of 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, at the Ellijay First United Methodist Church.
