Mrs. Oda Higdon, age 92 of Lucious Road Community, Cherry Log, Georgia passed on Sunday Morning May 9th, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Higdon was born on May 13th, 1917 to her late parents Marcus Aralias and Sarah Josephine Sluder Allen in Cherry Log, Ga. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday May 10th, 2010 at 5:00pm from the Boardtown Church of Christ Cemetery with Minister Bruce Hooper officiating. Randall Jones, Ted Duvall, Matthew Higdon, and Bobby Dills served as pallbearers. Mrs. Higdon is survived by her Daughters and Son-in-law, Dessie Higdon Woodring, Glenda and Norman Holloway; Son and Daughter-in-law, David and Judy Higdon all of Cherry Log, GA. Several Grandchildren, Step-Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Step-Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews also survive. The Family Requests that no food be brought to the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Georgia Mountains Hospice at P.O. Box 580 Jasper, GA 30143. The family will receive friends at the Boardtown Church of Christ Cemetery at 5:00pm on Monday May 10th, 2010.
