Nancy Erna Brandon, 61, of Mineral Bluff passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Nancy was born in Concord, Mass., the daughter of Erna A (Homfeld) Brandon and the late Robert J Brandon. She moved to Georgia in the late 1980s and lived in the Blue Ridge area for more than 25 years. Nancy was a devoted mother to her children as well as a champion of everyone else's children. To her friends she was known for her hearty laugh, fierce loyalty, and big heart. She was drawn to the outdoors and to nature, and loved a good campfire and the scent of sandalwood. She liked cooking almost as much as she enjoyed sharing the food she made with those around her. Nancy enjoyed making others smile, and singing off key to embarrass her kids. Nancy is survived by her children: Jennifer Nye of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Ian Nye of Cherry Log; as well as by her granddaughter Tegan Cross. Nancy was the sister of Bob Brandon, Peg Brandon, David Brandon, Alan Brandon, and Barb Brandon; and the proud aunt of Tyrell, Caleb, Ben, Spencer, Duncan, and Derek. Her family asks that everyone celebrate her life by fondly remembering all the good times they shared together.
