Nancy Ruth
Alexy
May 31, 1957 – December 6, 2025
Nancy Ruth Alexy, 68, of Macon, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2025. Born on May 31, 1957, to Harry Littleton Fletcher and Martha Elizabeth Parker, Nancy—named by her sister after her favorite baby doll at age seven—grew up in Macon and later graduated Valedictorian from Macedonia Christian Academy. She went on to be a long term employee for Bellsouth working her way through the many departments within "the phone company".
While Nancy cherished many roles throughout her life, the title of "Nana" was the one she held closest to her heart. She believed being a grandparent was her true calling, and her three granddaughters were her greatest joy.
Nancy loved Christmas, reading, QVC, and the beach. Her hair was always perfectly in place, and she delighted in the small routines and traditions that brightened her days—Sunday-night Hallmark movies, rewatching classics like Gone with the Wind and Miracle on 34th Street, and walking with her husband through their Ellijay neighborhood. Her nieces and their children also held a special place in her heart.
Nancy is survived by her husband, George Alexy; her sons Matt Alexy (Stephanie) and Josh Alexy (Erin); her beloved granddaughters Fletcher, Baker, and Jane Alexy; and her nieces Melissa Tucker Petersen (Glenn) and Michelle Tucker Gallaher (Bubba). She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Martha Fletcher, and her sister, Cathy Tucker, with whom she is now reunited in heaven.
We will remember Nancy for the love she poured into her family—especially her granddaughters—and for the joyful moments she created through her traditions, her laughter, and the simple pleasures she adored. Her presence will be deeply missed, and we take comfort in knowing she is at peace and surrounded by her family in heaven.
A celebration of life is being planned for January 31st, 2026. Please RSVP by January 9th, 2026. More details will be shared as soon as they are made available.
Logan Funeral Home and Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
