Mrs. Mildred (Davenport) Davis, age 95, of Jasper, Ga, passed on Monday, February 10th, 2020 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Mrs. Davis was born on September 19th, 1924, in Ellijay, Ga to her parents, Frank Andrew and Josie Mae (Walker) Davenport. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Ellijay and was a graduate of Ellijay High School. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband, Clayborn William Davis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 15th, 2020 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Interment will be held on Sunday at 1:00pm at the Kennesaw Memorial Park with Ransom McArthur, Travis McArthur, Will Jones, Bill Jones, Josh Jones, and Kenneth Hulsey serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Davis is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and John Vigil, of Acworth, Ga, Sandra and Philip Watson, of Dallas, Ga, son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Rentha Davis, of Jasper, Ga, grandchildren, Leah Vigil and Rachel Vigil. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 PM on Friday, February 14th, 2020 at the Logan Funeral Home.
