Michael Anthony Sanford, age 59 of Ellijay, GA passed on Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was born December 29, 1960 on Marietta, GA to his parents Robert Cleve Sanford and Betty Jean (Burgess) Sanford. Michael graduated from Forsyth County High School in 1979 he was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed taking photos of wildlife and nature. He was a very loyal son to his parents. Survivors include his mother Betty Jean (Burgess) Sanford, Ellijay, GA, cousins Diana Burgess, Ellijay, GA Geraldine Terry, Cummings, GA, Aunts Kathy Burgess Banks, Ellijay, GA, Johnnie Ann Gaskill, Thomaston, GA, several other cousins and friends survived as well. Michael is preceded in death by his father Robert Cleve Sanford. A Private grave side service was held at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
