Michael William Evans, 67, of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. He was born on January 5, 1958, in Ellijay, GA, to his late parents, Calvin William and Vondell "Cochran" Evans. Michael attended Ellijay Church of Christ and graduated from Gilmer High School in 1976. He was a farmer and self-employed.

Michael is survived by his son, Calvin Evans, of Waleska, GA, and grandchildren Henry Evans and Rose Evans. Sisters Margaret and Mike Huff, Ellijay, GA, Sherry Evans Hyde, Ellijay, GA, nieces Kandace Powell Cressler (Joanna), Ivy Pierce (Evan), and great niece Veda Pierce.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 12 pm to 2 pm at the funeral home. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2 pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Butch Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Millard Wade Nealey, Jordon Hyde, Noah Hyde, Mickey Cochran, Evan Pierce, Robby Bigham, Ricky Bryant, and Chris Cochran serving as pallbearers.
