Mr. Bailey was born July 19th, 1954 in LaGrange, GA., to his late parents Thomas Hershel Bailey and Sara Helen Yarbrough. He is preceded in death by spouse Shirley Dale Bailey. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School class of 1972. He was self employed, as owner of Baileys Safety Equipment. He was also the chairman of the Zoning Committee and a member of the Gilmer County Bass Club. Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 16th, at 12pm, noon from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Minister Butch Jones officiating. Survivors include Daughter Amy E Bailey and son-in-law Karl Maassen of Woodstock, GA. Companion Sylvia Dagmar Wimpey of Ellijay, GA. ; Sister Annett Bailey Bagley of Bahrain; Brothers Steve Bailey of Atlanta, GA Gary & Deborah Bailey of Ellijay, GA, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday May 15th at the Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
