Mary Ellen Tipton, 72, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away October 21, 2023. She was born on March 22, 1951, in Ellijay, Georgia, to the late George and Betty Cochran.

Mary was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by sister, Jewel Cochran. She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Danny) England and Amy Tipton; grandchildren, Charlie and Porter; sisters, Ella Mae Anderson, Shirley (Jerry) Stockton, Carolyn (Johnny) Leatherwood; brother, Earl (Lynn) Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.

A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Logan Funeral Home, Ellijay, GA followed by a graveside service at 2:30pm at Youngs Chapel Baptist Church, Blue Ridge, GA.
