Mary Angelene (Mobley) Kenney, age 85 of Ellijay, GA passed on Friday, October 28, 2022 and was with her loving son Glenn and his wife Sandra when the Lord called her home. Angelene was born March 12, 1937, in LaGrange, GA to her late parents John Marion Mobley and Mittie Irene (McJunkin) Mobley. Angelene was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, GA. While active there, she sang in the choir and taught children's Sunday school. She was affectionately known as Mimi by her students. She and her husband Robert were active in support of the church's missionaries even offering their home to the missionary group when they visited. Angelene graduated from LaGrange High School in 1954 and was married in June of 1957. Angelene was first and foremost, a loving and dedicated servant to the Lord. She was also a loving and dedicated wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Angelene is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Robert Lee Kenney, daughter Janet Susan Kenney Shumate, sisters Vertyce M. Key, Doris Beehner, Joyce M. Mobley, Jean E. Spradlin, brothers Bonard Mobley, Thomas Mobley, Bill Mobley, and Troy Mobley.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Glenn and Sandra Kenney, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren W. Richard White (JR) and his wife Kathy, Jasper, GA, Marybeth Kenney, Moorehead City, NC, great-grandchildren Logan and Mason White, sisters-in-law Dorothy Kenney Woodell, LaGrange, GA, Mildred Kenney Cindrick, Stockbridge, GA, nephew Vincent Pirrone, Atlanta, GA, R. Wayne Mobley, Gautier, MS, niece Dottie Hamm, Naples, FL, great-niece Tana Youngblood of Valley, AL, and brother-in-law Douglas Beehner, Naples FL.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 11, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Anderson of Grace Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, GA officiating. The interment will be November 14th at the GA National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
