Martha Louise Elliott Wood, a cherished member of the Church of God faith, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026. Born on May 12, 1925, her life spanned over a century, a testament to her enduring spirit and grace. With a heart steadfast in faith and a kind spirit, Martha’s presence was a blessing to all who knew her.

Her journey through life was marked by unwavering devotion to her beliefs and a profound commitment to her community. Martha's faith was not merely a part of her identity but the guiding light that illuminated her path in times of joy and challenge alike. Her legacy is one of quiet strength and devout spirituality, leaving behind memories that will continue to inspire. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, David Elliott.

She leaves behind her cherished niece, Betty Shelnutt.

A graveside service to honor Martha's memory will be held at 12:00 noon on June 15, 2026 in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

Though now resting in eternal peace, Martha Louise Wood’s spirit endures in the hearts of those she touched. Her story—woven with faith, love, and resilience—is forever etched in the annals of those fortunate enough to have shared in her extraordinary journey.
