Marsha Elaine "Spain" McDonough, age 71 of Lilburn, GA passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024. She most recently resided in Ellijay, Ga. Elaine was born June 24, 1952, in Atlanta, GA to her late parents Cecil James and Barbara Ann (Gilliam) Spain. Elaine grew up as a member of the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by

her husband John William McDonough, sisters Ann Herring, and Alice Ford Ogwin. Elaine was well known for her wonderful sense of humor and for being a loving sister and aunt.

Survivors include sister Peggy "Spain" and Rick Russell, Duncanville, TX, niece Barbara and Randy Smith, Ellijay, GA, nephews Russell Herring, Cumming, GA, and Travis and Kaitlyn Russell, Houston, TX, great niece Christin Hayes, Alpharetta, GA, Lexi Smith and great nephew Cameron Smith.
