Ms. Marie Cochran Henson, age 86 of Ellijay, GA passed on Thursday January 2, 2020 at her residence. Born December 5, 1933 in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of her late parents Marion and Marie (Montrose) Cochran. Ms. Henson was a graduate of Sylvan Hill High School and Georgia State University earning a degree in nursing. She was a career registered nurse and taught nursing at Central Georgia Tech. Ms. Henson was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Sarah Louise Harris and Susie Mae Davis. As per Ms. Henson's request, she will have no services. Mrs. Henson is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Julia Marie Howard of Carrollton, GA, Dorinda & Dennis Brubaker of Blairsville, GA, Janet Lea Glover of Gray, GA, sons and daughter-in-law, John Wilson & Barbara Howard of Blairsville, GA, Michael Joseph Howard of Ellijay, GA, grandchildren, Cynthia Ann Howard, Christopher Eugene Howard, Timothy Michael Brubaker, Joshua Logan Glover, David Howard, Noah Howard, Greg Howard, Brandon Howard and Amanda Howard, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
