Marcus Dean Law, age 87 of Ellijay, GA passed on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Marcus was born June 13, 1935, in Jasper, Florida to his parents Otis Benton and Olivi (Padgett) Law. Marcus was a member of the Cartecay Baptist Church. Marcus also was a retired home builder and served his country honorably in the US Army. Marcus is preceded in death by sons Marcus Anthony Law, Todd Alan Law, brother Carl Law, and grandson Brad Law.

Marcus is survived by his wife of 61 years Glynda Mathis Law, Ellijay, GA, daughter Christi and Sam West, Ellijay, GA, son Timothy and Tina Law, Valdosta, GA, grandchildren Justin Reaves, Dusty Law, Rusty Law, Blake Law, Seth Law, Kylan West, Logan Gibbs, Kaleb West,  great grandchildren Sawyer Law, Ella Rae Gibbs, Landon and Aubree Andrus, sister Jeanette and Tommy Donnell, Tampa, FL, Alice Moore, Valdosta, GA, Dorothy and Gene Piniella, Canton, GA, Jane Law, Valdosta, GA.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Cartecay Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The deacons of Cartecay Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
