Mrs. Lucille Virginia Miller,age 89 of Cherry Log, Georgia died on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia. Born Saturday, March 12, 1927 in Ellijay, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Chris Plemmons and the late Nellie Harris Plemmons. A graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1944, she worked in the textile industry as a machine operator. Lucille was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church and volunteered with the Pink Ladies Auxillary at North Georgia Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her late husband, James Curtis Miller. Lucille is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl and Barbara Miller of Roswell, GA, Michael and Linda Miller of Cherry Log, GA and Tim and Christa Miller of Buford, GA, grandchildren, Preston, Kathleen, Josh, Corrine, Daniel, Drew and Hunter Miller, great-grandchildren, Lucas, Lucianna and Bailey Miller, sisters, Lillie Plemmons Land, Hazel Starks and Floria Hefner all of Ellijay, GA A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday May 29th, 2016 at the Rock Creek Baptist Church with the Jeremy Smith and Rev. Scott Watkins officiating. Graveside Interment will follow in the Underwood Cemetery with Daniel Miller, Drew Miller, Preston Miller, Hunter Miller, Josh Miller, Lucas Miller and Joe Roberson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Ponder, Tommy Cook, Ronnie Clay Miller, Lloyd Long, Roger Long, Diane Long, George and Peggy Shaw, Shirley Mulkey, Linda Reed and Dot Roper.
