Louella (Lucy) Brookshire Payne, age 89 of Marietta, GA passed on Sunday, March 21, 2021. She was born May 2, 1931 to her late parents Luther Ervin and Vina Odell (Stamey) Brookshire in Ellijay, GA. She worked for Bell South Telecommunications for 40 years. She enjoyed traveling with her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sisters Rubye B. Boatright, Cora Lee (Polly) Adams, brothers Rosco Brookshire, Roy Brookshire and James Brookshire. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:00 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Butch Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill United Methodist Church cemetery. Lucy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Houston Payne, Marietta, GA, daughter and son in law Tracie and Brett Lawler, Woodstock, GA, granddaughters Taylor Nichols and Carlee Nichols and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted.
