Mr. Lonnie William Dotson age 61, of Tails Creek Road, Ellijay, GA. passed from this life Sunday, May 2nd, 2010 at his residence, born September 13th, 1948 to his late parents Homer Clayton and Velma Cantrell Dotson in Ellijay, Ga. Mr. Dotson was a butcher in the meat processing industry. Survivors include wife of 30 years Hilda Chastain Dotson of the home, son and daughter-in-law Marty and Jackie of Ellijay, GA., grandson Evan Pankey of Ellijay, GA., sisters Patsy Dotson Maree of Ellijay, GA., Frances Dotson Brooks of Chatsworth, GA., brother Mackie Dotson of Ellijay, GA., Ronnie Dotson of Chatsworth, GA., and mother-in-law Ethel McArthur Chastain of Ellijay, GA. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 5th, 2010 from the Ridgeway Baptist Church with Rev. Randy McClure, Rev. Mafford McArthur and Rev. Billy Dotson officiating, music and song by Annette McClure and Mafford McArthur. Interment will follow in Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dotson, Mackie Dotson, Lonnie Chastain, Harold Chastain, Marty Pankey, Tony McTaggart, David Pritchett, Sammy Simmons and Robert Reed. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 3rd and Tuesday May 4th beginning at 6:00 P.M.
