Lois (Guess) Pell, age 91 of Ellijay, GA passed on Monday, January 11, 2021. She was born on June 30, 1929 in Chatsworth, GA, to her late parents, John Simon and Willie Mae (Lenning) Guess. She worked in the Dye department for NewMark Rugs, in Dalton GA before retirement. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Simon and Willie Mae (Lenning) Guess, sisters, Betty Guess Dean, Edna Guess Nix, brothers John L. Guess and Ottrell Guess. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jackie Brown, Jasper, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Thomas "Marty" and Jeanelle Hibberts, Ellijay, Ga, grandchildren, Jennifer Hibberts Harper, Heather Hibberts, Tommy Hibberts, Shane Duncan, five great- grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. Sisters, Jean Guess Usher, Dalton, GA, Mozell Guess Little, Chatsworth, GA, Violet Guess Wilson, Marietta, GA, several nieces and nephews also survive. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic a Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, Oakman, GA, with Rev. Bryan Winkler officiating.
