Mrs. Linda Ruth McVey Wikle, age 83, of Jasper, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, August 7th, 2026.

Mrs. Wikle was born on January 4th, 1943 in Ellijay to her late parents Rev. Kimsey Brynson McVey and Willie Ruth Parks McVey. She was a member of the Gilmer High School Class of 1961, and worked as a Hairdresser for many years. She was also a devoted member of Salem Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Mr. Ronald Ray Wikle, Sr.; brother Brynson McVey, and sisters Alice McVey May and Christine McVey Bradford.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Ron and Angela Wikle of Canton; sister Rebecca McVey Jones of Ellijay; brother and sister-in-law Loran and Donna McVey of Ellijay; several nieces and nephews; and family friend Tim George.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026 from the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Hensley officiating. Special music will be provided by the McVey family.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026 at Logan Funeral Home.

Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Wikle.
