Mrs. Lillian Barclay Westmoreland, age 87 of Fayetteville, GA formerly of Ellijay, GA passed on Sunday morning, July 20, 2014, at Christian City Rehab Center in Union City, Georgia. Mrs. Westmoreland was born July 26, 1926 in Copperhill, TN to her late parents Thurlow Charles and Pearl Chastain Barclay. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay, GA and worked as a secretary in the superintendents office for the Gilmer County School System. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Westmoreland. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Dan Westmoreland of Ellijay, GA and Rev. Mark and Kathy Westmoreland of Fayetteville, GA; Grandchildren, Jarah Westmoreland, Stephen Westmoreland, and Matthew Westmoreland; Sisters, Mary Virginia Barclay Fuller of Ellijay, GA and Harriett Barclay Wadsworth of Marietta, GA; Several nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 from the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay, GA Dr. Danny Barton and Rev. Sharon Watkins officiating. Music will be by Rick Massengale and vocals will be by Sam Burch. Interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen Westmoreland, Matthew Westmoreland, Robert Westmoreland, David Westmoreland, Terry Hensley and Sandy Fuller. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the Logan Funeral Home.
