Mrs. Lana Watkins Trammell, age 79, of Ellijay, Georgia passed away at her home surrounded by her family on September 14, 2024.

Lana was born on February 5, 1945 in Ellijay, Georgia to her late parents James Will Watkins and Lottie Mann Watkins. Lana was a member of the Berean Baptist Church. Lana was proceeded in death by her brothers Ed Watkins, Morris Watkins, Glover Watkins, and a sister, Sue Hobson.

Lana is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Virgil Trammell of the home. Daughters and sons-in-law April and Dean Jackson of Ellijay and Jill and Brent Ponder of Ellijay; four grandchildren - Candace, Blake, Amanda, and Mariah; and two great-grandchildren - Jaxon and Henry.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. The funeral will follow at 4:00 pm from the Berean Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Stephenson and Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Special singing by Herman and Rhonda Davis and the church congregation.

Interment will follow in the Berean Baptist Church cemetery with Blake Jackson, Clay Elrod, Joey Patterson, Dennis Jones, Josh Jones, and Seth Davis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of the church.

The family requests no food be brought to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Berean Baptist Building Fund at P.O. Box 16, Ellijay, GA 30540 c/o Dewell Sanford in memory of Mrs. Trammell.
