Kristen Nicole Powell, age 37 formerly of Ellijay, GA passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Kristen was born on January 14, 1986, in Dalton, GA to her parents James Randall and Margaret Anne (Evans) Powell. Kristen was a 2004 graduate of Gilmer High School and received her Bachelor of Science at North Georgia College and State University. Kristen was employed by the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles until 2015 and was lastly employed by The Magdalen House as Program Coordinator. Kristen was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ.

Survivors include parents Margaret E. and Michael Huff, Ellijay, GA, Randy Powell, Ellijay, GA, sister Kandace Powell, Ellijay, GA, brothers Michael and Connie Huff, Jr, Blue Ridge, GA, Mark and Pam Huff, Blue Ridge, GA, Jody and Crystal Huff, Blue Ridge, GA, grandparents Dean and Cherie Hudson, California, Sue Huff, Blue Ridge, GA, loved by: Kaki Andrus and Katy Burns, Denton, Texas, aunts, uncles, and many friends in Texas and Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 pm to 3 pm Sunday, June 25, 2023. The funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Butch Jones, and Min. Jeremy Green officiating. Mike Huff, Sr, Mark Huff, Clayton Huff, Isaiah Hampton, Dale Cochran, Jody Huff, and Hollis Lowman serving as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
