Mrs. Katherine Sue (Lovingood) McPherson, age 80 of Ellijay, Ga, passed on Sunday, March 29,2020 at her home. She was born on March 25, 1940 to her late parents Charles and Bessie (Davis) Lovingood in Murphy, NC. She was a member of East Ellijay Baptist Church and after 40 years she retired from Pilgrim's Pride poultry plant. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Bessie (Davis) Lovingood, husband, Cye Jerry McPherson, daughter Shelly Jean McPherson, sister, Marie Godfrey, brother, Jimmy Lovingood. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2nd , 2020 at 11:00 am, at Liberty Baptist church Cemetery with Rev. John Bramlett and Chris Presley officiating. Shaylee Jenkins, Bryson Jenkins, Scott Ridings, Korbin Ridings, Hunter Stanley, Brydon Stanley, Landon Carpenter, Greg Ridings and Timmy Jenkins will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. McPherson is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Marsha M. and Gerald Stanley, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren, Meagan and Greg Ridings, Ellijay, Ga, Mandra and Timmy Jenkins, Ellijay, GA, Monica Carpenter, Ellijay., Ga, great grandchildren, Shaylee, Jenkins, Bryson Jenkins, Scott Ridings, Korbin Ridings, Hunter Stanley, Braydon Stanley, Landon Carpenter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Logan Funeral Home.
