Mr. Joseph Peter Maimone, age 82 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Friday January 27th, 2023.

Mr. Maimone was born on November 1st, 1940 in East Meadow, NY to his late parents, Carmelo and Josephine Maimone. Joseph served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He also worked for many years as a supervisor for Grumman. Joseph loved woodworking and landscaping.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Ethel Maimone of the home in Ellijay; son, Michael (Lisa) Maimone of Canton, GA; daughter, Tracy Maimone of Florida; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday January 31st, 2023 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the North GA Honor Guard and family and friends officiating and speaking.

Interment will follow the service at 2:00pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the service hour of 11:00am on Tuesday, January 31st at the Logan Funeral Home.
