Johnette Hood Obituary Mrs. Johnette J. Hood, age 86 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Saturday, March 26th, 2022. Mrs. Hood was born on January 19th, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Aram and Gertrud Johnian. She was a graduate of Winchester High School and Fisher Junior College. Johnette was a loving mother, grandmother, auntie, and sister. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Dan Hood; son, Glen McAvoy; and sister, Annette Johnian Wiswall. Survivors include her daughter, Lorelle M. LoCurto of Kennesaw, GA (Ken); grandchildren, Glen McAvoy II (Amber), Iain McAvoy, Colin, Ashtyn, Christopher, and John LoCurto; great grandchildren, Adalie McAvoy and Grayson McAvoy; siblings, Elise Clark of North Woodstock, NH, Rev. Paul Johnian (Mona) of Franklin, TN, Walter Johnian of Winchester, MA, John Johnian of Andover, MA; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family/friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 8th, 2022 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kent Hawkins officiating. Special music will be by her niece, Morgan Clark. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with Colin LoCurto, Christopher LoCurto, Ken LoCurto, John LoCurto, Glen McAvoy, II, and Iain McAvoy all serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 7th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Smokey Mountain Children's Home at 449 McCarn Circle Sevierville, TN 37862, or to Mt.
