John Eddy, age 65 of Ellijay, GA passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at his home. He was born January 9, 1955 in Taunton, MA to his late parents, John & Eleanora (Rogers) Eddy. John was of the Christian faith. He worked as a Peace Officer for the Holly Springs Police Department for the past 13 years and also was a Deputy Sheriff in Crisp County, GA working Special Events. Prior to that he was the Safety Director for Southeast Frozen Foods for 31 years. John was a devoted and loyal son, husband and brother and is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley McMahon, as well as his sisters, Joanne (Eddy) Lamb and husband Chuck, cousin Sharon Sewell, as well as close family friends, Kathy Klein and the Zarcone Family. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at The Logan Funeral Home and Chapel, with Father Carlos Vargas officiating, Sue Hughes reading scripture and Judge Darrell Caudill sharing the Eulogy. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Friday, October 9, 2020 at the funeral home, followed by a brief service.
