John Paten Bowers, age 83 of Cherry Log, GA passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024. John was born July 21, 1940, in Empire, Georgia to his late parents Joseph Taylor and Iris (Parks) Bowers. John served his country honorably in the US Air Force. John retired from Bellsouth (AT&T).

Survivors include his wife of 40 years Nancy Bowers, and children Kevin Bowers (Trudy), Shawn Westmoreland, Jeff Nash (Andrea), Karen Henderson (Pete), 8 grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, brother Ric Bowers (Debbie), also several nieces and nephews survive.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
